Performance marketing

I work across campaign strategy, creative, landing pages and measurement. We define what a useful enquiry or customer action looks like before judging campaigns by clicks alone.

HOW I CAN HELP

Connect the ad with the business outcome.

Campaign and audience direction

Creative and landing-page coordination

Measurement and optimisation priorities

THE APPROACH

From the brief to a clear direction.

A launch can be possible in around three days once the brief, creatives, tracking, account access and approvals are ready. I will confirm the launch plan after reviewing the setup.

THE APPLICATION

Built around the way you work.

Around three weeks can be an initial optimisation window for lead quality. It is a working expectation, not a guarantee; results depend on the offer, audience, budget, landing page and follow-up.

Discuss your brief

Paid campaigns are easy to start and hard to run well. The platform will always spend your budget; whether that spend produces useful enquiries depends on the offer, the tracking, the landing page and what happens to leads afterwards. I work on all four, and treat clicks as the least interesting number.

Define a good outcome before spending anything

Campaigns are judged on what the business gets, so we agree that first. A good outcome might be a qualified call, a booked demo, a completed purchase or a form from someone who matches your customer profile. Cheap leads that never answer the phone are not a good outcome.

I ask how leads are handled today, who follows up, how quickly, and what share become customers. Weak follow-up can make good ads look bad. We write down the target action, what disqualifies a lead and what a customer is worth to you, since that sets how much you can reasonably pay to acquire one.

I like to ask what a lead is worth before discussing budgets. If a customer brings in a large amount over time, you can justify a higher cost per enquiry than a business with small, one-off sales. Without that figure, any target for cost per lead is an arbitrary number that tends to push campaigns toward volume over quality.

Choosing channels and structuring campaigns

Channel choice follows buyer behaviour. People actively searching for a solution suit search advertising. People who do not yet know they need you are reached through social or video platforms. Established brands might use remarketing. I recommend the smallest set of channels that fits your budget, since spreading a modest budget thinly teaches you nothing.

Campaign structure should make results readable: separate campaigns for separate goals, audiences that do not overlap heavily, and naming that lets you understand a report a month later. A tidy account is easier to optimise and cheaper to hand over.

Budget should match the learning you need. Platforms need a reasonable number of conversions to optimise well, so a small budget across many campaigns produces noise. I would sooner run one or two focused campaigns properly, learn what works, and then expand. If your budget is limited, narrower geography, fewer products or one clear offer usually helps.

Remarketing, which shows ads to people who have already visited, is useful but easy to overuse. It works best as a supporting layer for a considered purchase, reminding people of an offer they showed interest in. I add it once there is enough traffic to make it meaningful, and I set limits so that people are not followed around the internet by the same ad.

Creative and landing pages are half the result

An ad earns the click, but the landing page earns the enquiry. I coordinate both so that the message carries through: the promise in the ad appears again at the top of the page, the page answers the likely objections, and the form asks only what you need.

I test a few clearly different angles first, not many small variations, so we learn what the audience responds to. Creative needs fresh input over time. I work with your designers or help brief them, and I keep claims accurate to your actual offer. Page speed and mobile layout deserve a check as well, because many clicks arrive on phones.

A landing page is not the home page. Sending paid traffic to a general site makes visitors search for what they came for. I recommend pages built for a single offer, with a clear headline, evidence, a short form and no distracting navigation. If your site builder makes this hard, we can find a practical workaround.

Most weak campaigns have a weak page or follow-up process behind them, not a weak ad.

Tracking has to be right before launch

If conversions are not recorded correctly, the platform optimises toward the wrong thing. Before launch I confirm that form submissions, calls, purchases and key page actions are measured in your analytics and in the ad platforms, and that they are not double counted.

Where possible, we connect leads to what happens later, such as whether they were qualified or bought. Without that link you can only optimise for volume. Consent and privacy requirements also affect what can be measured in some regions, and I work within them.

Privacy rules and platform policies affect measurement more than they used to. Some visitors decline tracking, some browsers limit it, and numbers will not match perfectly between systems. I aim for a measurement set-up that is accurate enough to make decisions, and I explain where the gaps are so you do not over-read small differences.

What launch and the first weeks look like

A launch can happen in around three days once the brief, creatives, tracking, account access and approvals are ready. Delays are almost always on those inputs, not the platform. After launch, the early weeks are a learning period in which the platform gathers data and we find which audiences and messages respond.

Around three weeks can be an initial window to judge lead quality. It is a working expectation and not a promise, and results depend on offer, audience, budget, landing page and your follow-up. I avoid large changes in the first days, as that resets learning and confuses the data.

Approvals can slow launch more than any technical step. Ad platforms review ads and some categories have extra restrictions, while internal sign-off on claims and creative takes its own time. Preparing these early, and keeping wording factual and modest, avoids rejections that cost days at the start.

Sales follow-up often decides the true cost of a lead. A prompt call within a short time of an enquiry usually does more for results than another round of ad edits. If your team is slow or inconsistent, I will say so, and we can set up simple routines or reminders before putting more money into traffic.

How optimisation is done

Once data builds up, optimisation becomes routine, with a regular review of what to adjust. I look at what produces qualified leads, not just the lowest cost per enquiry, and I check lead quality with your sales team directly.

I report in plain language and agree the metrics beforehand, so we are never arguing about definitions.

Reports should lead with business results and then explain the causes, in language a non-specialist can follow. If a campaign underperforms, I say so, with a view on whether the cause is the offer, the audience, the page or the follow-up, and what we will test next. Hiding poor results helps nobody.

  • Search terms, audiences and placements that bring in the wrong people, which get excluded.
  • Creative angles that earn qualified enquiries, which get more budget.
  • Landing page changes tested one at a time so the effect is clear.
  • Budget moved between campaigns according to lead quality, not click cost.
  • A regular review of tracking, to catch breakage early.

When paid campaigns are not the right move

If your offer is not yet clear, your site cannot convert, or nobody will follow up promptly, spending on ads only exposes those problems at a cost. Fix them first. If your budget is too small to gather meaningful data in the markets you target, a narrower focus or a different channel may serve you better.

Paid work also pairs with organic work. Ads give quicker feedback on what people respond to, while SEO strategy builds a slower base. I will tell you which deserves your money now.

The management fee for my time is separate from the money you spend with the advertising platforms. Hands-on setup and production work are scoped and quoted per project, and a strategy session at ₹2,999 + GST is a low-commitment way to review your accounts and decide what to do.
